American Fidelity Purchases OPUBCO Property

(OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) – American Fidelity Corporation completed the purchase of the Oklahoma Publishing Company’s (OPUBCO) property at 9000 North Broadway. As part of the purchase agreement, OPUBCO signed a lease for five floors through December 2015 and indefinite lease for much of the production area, where the printing presses are located.

American Fidelity Corporation and American Fidelity Assurance Company (AFA) will now begin the process of planning its move from the current headquarters at 2000 North Classen to the new location.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for us to grow, with 150 acres included in the purchase. We will be able to expand as our business grows," said Dave Carpenter, president and chief operating officer of AFA. "The purchase benefits both parties as OPUBCO will stay at the location for several years, allowing them time to plan for their next move and the press facility can continue their operation without interruption. American Fidelity will have ample time to plan our relocation to ensure a smooth transition."
