American Fidelity Ranked No. 26 on IDG’s Computerworld’s Annual List of Best Places to Work in Information Technology
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – American Fidelity Assurance Company, based in Oklahoma City, once again made Computerworld’s list of Best Places to Work in IT. Coming in at No. 26, this is AFA’s 11th consecutive appearance on the list.
“Our 200 IT Colleagues work diligently to create and manage software applications and technical infrastructure for our 1 million Customers and nearly 1,600 Colleagues. Their efforts help make AFA a success, so we strive to reward them by making AFA a great place to work in IT,” said Kim Fisher, chief information officer. “It also helps us recruit top talent in the field, which is important as we continually add IT positions to better serve our Customers.”
The Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT) list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals compiled by IDG’s Computerworld. The list is based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
American Fidelity was ranked seventh among the list’s small companies.
"We applaud the organizations on the Best Places to Work in IT list for creating and sustaining dynamic IT work environments," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. "This year, several new names have joined the stalwarts that make the list year after year. It's clear that the best IT workplaces are constantly raising the bar with great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging business-critical projects."
Since 1994, Computerworld’s annual “Best Places to Work in IT” feature has ranked the top 100 work environments for technology professionals, based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention.
