Delivering on our promise to protect Customers is always a high point as we supported our 100,000 Customers and paid more than $50 million in policy benefits to those in need.

AFAmeriLife® also continued to fulfill our promise to serve Customers acquired from the former Mid-Continent Life Insurance Company.

New in 2005, the EZ Term policy is a non-medical term product with a high percentage of proposed insureds expected to be approved at the initial point of sale. It is a perfect fit for the Customer seeking limited duration coverage and the agent looking for process efficiency.

Life insurance is crucial, but there is no reason to limit one’s potential for further financial security while the opportunity still exists. The AFAmeriFlex Alternative was introduced as a fixed-annuity solution to provide living benefits for life-event planning and retirement. Enhanced administrative capabilities resulted in quicker new business and underwriting turnaround as well as enhanced Customer communication and Colleague efficiency. Progress came through Web site improvements, refined workflow processes and centralized ordering.

Recognition for a job well done and motivation for even better performance goes with the territory. The inaugural AFAmeriLife® Agent Convention rewarded top producers and paved the way for the productive, high-energy Agent Sales Congress that fostered opportunities for training and idea exchange.

Constantly moving forward, AFAmeriLife® is primed for further developments and improvements. Increased product offerings are on the horizon, including specialty products to serve our existing distribution.

We will also be focusing our energy on specific market niches, where we intend to expand our marketing efforts.

Greater systems efficiencies and a projected 26 percent increase in sales will also help drive our 2006 agenda. Internally, we joined forces with the Latin Department of AFA’s Strategic Alliances division to enhance and streamline our processes. Increased automation and improved workflow will also further our progress. Efforts to refine and develop our niche within our target market will continue to support our main initiatives.
