agents our partners as well as our front-line Customers.

| The year 2006 was a remarkable year of accomplishments for APL. The company continued
to expand its market reach with certificates of authority in 47 states, and we filed
existing and new products in our new territories.
We also successfully completed our new Group Cancer Policy
and new Individual Cancer Policy forms and are filing them for approval in all states.
APL's online service center was successfully launched to agency and broker partners
during 2006, and we continue to make excellent progress in the development of our
new electronic enrollment solution, eTronic Choice, with a projected first quarter
2007 release date.
Though 2006 was a year of many significant achievements, our greatest accomplishment
was our all-time highest results on scorecard performance.

| Building on our great results, in 2007 APL will focus on continuing our technology
enhancements including updates to our online service center to include online billing
statements for our list bill accounts and adding access to the center for our individual
policyholders.
We also expect to see 20 percent to 25 percent of all new
business submitted electronically by the end of 2007.
We plan to revise our worksite life products and create a unified product
brochure series for all products. APL is poised to continue our position as
a significant contributor to the successful operation of American Fidelity.
