Founded on the principals of commitment, dedication and success as set forth by my grandfather, C.W. Cameron, for nearly 50 years, American Fidelity Assurance Company (AFA) has seen continuous growth due to high standards, conservative management and Customer-focused operating strategies. For three generations, American Fidelity Assurance Company has succeeded by doing the right thing for our Customer and always focusing
on Customer service.

Providing financial security to our niche markets with four core products: disability income insurance, annuities, life insurance and supplemental health insurance, and with more than one million Customers and 1.5 million policies in force, AFA has achieved unparalleled success as one of the largest private, family-owned life insurance companies in the nation.

2007 was another outstanding year for American Fidelity Corporation (AFC). AFA, the flagship business in our corporation had much to celebrate in 2007. With a focus on our niche markets, improving expenses, improving sales and products, delivering value to our Customers and conservatism in the markets, AFA recorded the highest net income in company history.

I am excited about the results from our core markets. Banner sales years were marked by growth in our education and automobile dealer industries. Efficiencies were maximized by sharing resources and superior claim service was realized through systems utilization. We expanded to new education markets and continued staff growth in our trade association niche markets. Our American Public Life operation again exceeded their sales goals and continues to set themselves apart from the competition with conservative, value-added services for their brokers. The Life Division continued to enhance their product offerings and broker relationships. As a testament to our conservative approach to our business and investments, AFA's financial strength was again confirmed with A+ ratings from both A.M. Best and TheStreet.com, Inc.

None of the tremendous success AFA is experiencing would be achievable without the AFA family of Colleagues. As we strive to provide our Customers with the products and services to protect their families' financial security, AFA remains committed to being an Employer of Choice for our Colleagues. Ranked on Fortune magazine's list of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" in America for the fifth straight year, our commitment continues on our journey to be the company for which people want to work.

Efforts in 2008 will expand our continued growth by maximizing sales, growing our people and
ensuring our products meet our Customers’ needs. Serving our Customer will, as always, remain one of our top priorities and in our financial services environment, we will stand by our conservative practices to ensure that we are always financially secure for our Customers.
