being "easy to do business with." We consider our independent agents our partners as well as
our front-line Customers.

In 2007, APL began a transition period that included a change in
senior leadership, refocused attention on traditional worksite products and expansion of our sales force.
APL hired Jim Pate as president and chief operating officer. Bringing
over 30 years of industry experience with the past 25 in the worksite arena, he has
led the way for APL's continued growth. Sales force growth included the addition of three
new regional sales directors to drive our sales efforts beyond our traditional base.
With additional attention in the traditional worksite area, we experienced significant success with
our group cancer policy and individual cancer policy forms. Three new payroll deduction life policies were
successfully rolled out, and we introduced a new short-term disability offering.

Building on our success in 2007, APL will focus on increasing revenue
with the addition of more regional sales director positions in 2008 and implementation of a MEDLink III
policy. We will also complete our re-branding project that will result in a unified product brochure
series for all APL products.
APL is poised to continue our position as a significant contributor to the successful
