Why did I receive an “ineligible” letter and what should I do if I received one?
An 'ineligible' letter will be sent when the debit card is used for an expense incurred outside the plan year, when the debit card is used for an ineligible expense, or when the debit card documentation submitted is insufficient. When the documentation cannot be provided or when the expense is ineligible, you have 2 options: 1) submit a check to American Fidelity in the amount of the transaction to be applied to your flex account or 2) submit a manual claim to offset the transaction amount.
