Exchange Guide

American Fidelity has developed a guide to provide recommendations for designing an employer-friendly state health insurance Exchange: Employers’ Perspective on Exchanges.  The guide helps connect the dots between employers and state health insurance exchanges and describes what Health Care Reform looks like from an employer’s perspective.

Health Care Reform creates a number of incentives for employers to stop sponsoring major medical coverage.  However, we think it would be valuable for states, employers, and employees to keep as many employers providing benefits for as long as possible, and that designing an employer-friendly exchange helps support that goal.

This free guide is available below.  You’re welcome to forward the guide and to contact us with any questions.  We encourage you to share your thoughts and perspectives with the people working on the Exchanges in your state.  Ultimately, we believe that eroding the employer-sponsored benefits system could negatively impact everyone.  We hope you agree and will join us in spreading that message.
